Why is this Notice Important? • The Public Service Commission of South Carolina (“Commission”) has scheduled public
hearings in this case and will decide what rates Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (“DEC” or “the Company”) can charge.
• Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC is requesting a rate increase and changes to the Company’s electric rates and schedules for retail electric base rates.
• According to the Application, the proposed rates and charges represent an overall annual revenue increase of approximately
• $150.5 million. Electric rates, if approved, will be effective for service rendered on and after March 1, 2026.
