NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING FOR Wake County's 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and 2025 Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) CAPER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Wake County will receive public input during a 15-day public comment period and hold a public hearing on the County's Draft 2025 CAPER and HOPWA CAPER. The CAPER and HOPWA CAPER are annual reports required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that describe Wake County's progress and accomplishments under its federally funded housing and community development programs. The CAPER summarizes housing and community development accomplishments during Program Year 2025 (July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026) in Wake County. The HOPWA CAPER reports on the use of HOPWA funds and services provided to eligible households within Wake County's HOPWA service area, which includes Wake, Johnston, and Franklin Counties. At the conclusion of the public comment period, Wake County will review and consider all comments received. 15-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD (9/1/2026 – 9/15/2026) Draft copies of both reports can be accessed online at https://tinyurl.com/4bnyr9b4 or in person at the following locations: Wake County Housing (336 Fayetteville Street, Suite 440, Raleigh, NC 27602), Municipal Town Halls, Wake County Regional Centers, Homeless Service Centers, and other Wake County Housing or Human Services locations. Comments may be submitted using the online form https://forms.cloud.microsoft/g/ePe7XiKGEZ or by email at housing.info@wake.gov PUBLIC HEARING (9/22/2026) Wake County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Wake County Justice Center, 300 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, 2nd Floor, Room 2700.
