REQUEST FOR GENERAL CONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION SUBMITTALS Egg Processing Facility – 3709 Hillsborough St. NC State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for improvements to the Egg Processing Facility, located at 3709 Hillsborough Street. The project scope includes the renovation of approximately 4,800 square feet to provide a location for egg processing equipment and support functions. Existing Crop and Soil Sciences storage will be consolidated and relocated to accommodate the new functions. The equipment is being provided by the USDA and will be used to research process improvements. A qualification application document must be submitted by 5:00 pm, September 9, 2026, to Michele Maxwell, project manager, by email only. No hard copies will be accepted. Application packages will be available electronically after August 16, 2026.
