PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT TO LEASE In accordance with North Carolina General Statutes § 115C-518 and § 160A-272, the Durham Public Schools Board of Education ("Board") intends to enter into a lease of the following Board-owned property: A portion (approximately 4,140 square feet) of the Carrington Middle School site, located at 227 Milton Road, Durham, North Carolina. The Board intends to lease the property to Crown Castle GT Company, LLC., ("Crown Castle") from now through February 26, 2048 for the siting and operation of a tower for communication purposes, pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 115C-518 and § 160A-272. Crown Castle will pay the Board a starting annual rent of Sixty-Seven Thousand Sixty-Three Dollars and 84 cents ($67,063.84). The Board intends to adopt a resolution authorizing the lease of the property described above at its next regular meeting, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on September 10, 2026.
