NOTICE TO BIDDERS RFB #26-082 Sealed proposals will be received by the County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 S. McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 2:00 PM on September 17, 2026, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of the Wake County EMS Station Renovations – East Raleigh Station 7 – NC State Station 8 – Wake Forest Station 10, located at 2910 Kidd Road, Raleigh, NC 27610; 1361 Varsity Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607; 706 S. Franklin Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Complete contract documents for this project will be available starting on August 14, 2026, and can be obtained by contacting Paul Stewart, AIA at Williard Stewart Architects, PA via email at: paul@wscarchitects.com. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, or certified check drawn from a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), or a Bid Bond in an amount equal to not less than 5% of the Proposal. Said deposit to be retained by the Owner (referred to as the Obligee on the Bond Form) as liquidated damages in the event of failure of the successful Bidder to execute the Contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory Surety as required by law. The Bid Bond shall be conditioned that the Surety will, upon demand, forthwith make payment to the Owner (referred to as the Obligee on the Bond Form) upon the said bond if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract. Bid Bonds must be submitted using the Wake County Bid Bond Form included in the Project Manual. Use of Bid Forms other than those provided in the Project Manual may result in disqualification of the Bidder. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for interested GENERAL CONTRACTORS will be held on August 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Wake County Wake Forest EMS Station 10 (706 S. Franklin Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587). Site visits to the other two stations (East Raleigh Station 7 followed by NC State Station 8) will take place after the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference concludes at Wake Forest EMS Station 10. Note: Parking within EMS Station parking lots or driveway aprons is prohibited. All attendees must park on public streets. All three EMS Stations will be open for a NON-Mandatory Open House / Existing Condition Review for interested subcontractors on August 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. General Contractors that attended the August 19, 2026 (which is mandatory for interested General Contractors) may also revisit the project sites during this open house event. Note: Parking within EMS Station parking lots or driveway aprons is prohibited. All attendees must park on public streets. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
