RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A 30-YEAR LEASE WITH MUSEUM OF DURHAM HISTORY FOR THE EXHIBIT AND EDUCATIONAL SPACE LOCATED AT 521 W. MORGAN STREET WHEREAS, the City owns property located at 521 W. Morgan Street in Durham, North Carolina (the property); and WHEREAS, the Museum has requested a new 30-year lease; and WHEREAS, the City may enter into a 30-year lease with the Museum pursuant to N.C.G.S. §160A-279. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a 30-year lease with the Museum of Durham History that will set forth the parties' respective rights and obligations related to the exhibit space and education center located at 521 W. Morgan Street, and in return for this lease and pursuant to its provisions, the Museum shall use the Property for the public purpose specified therein.
