REQUEST FOR GENERAL
CONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION SUBMITTALS
Whole Building Backup Power- Avent Ferry Technology Center
North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from electrical contractors with an Unlimited Electrical Contractor's license, and a North Carolina General Contractor's License, or General Contractors with an Unlimited License for whole building standby power at the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Project scope includes required site work, generator screening wall, and installation of, a 500-kw generator, panelboard, ATS and MTS procured by NCSU.
The budget of $800,000 incorporates design, construction, fees and associated construction costs.
A qualification application document must be submitted by 5:00PM, June 15, 2026 to Michael Baker, project manager, by email only to mebaker@ncsu.edu. No hard copies shall be submitted. Application packages will be available electronically after May 25, 2026.
