PUBLIC NOTICE LEASE OF CITY PROPERTY The City Council of the City of Durham intends to enter into a lease of a portion of the following City-owned property: 6605 Farrington Road, REID #141733, consisting of 98.80 acres. The City intends to lease a 2,755 square foot-portion of the property and a twenty foot easement for utilities, in conjunction with space to install and maintain radio communications equipment on the communication tower located on the property, to New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (Cingular Wireless), for a term of ten years with an option to renew for an additional five years. In consideration of the lease, Cingular Wireless will pay the City annual rent of $55,500 in Year 1, and the rent will increase 3% every year thereafter so that annual rent is $72,414 in Year 10. All persons interested in this lease are invited to attend the meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 101 City Hall Plaza, Durham, N.C. at 7:00 P.M., June 15, 2026.
