Greenville NC, Eakin Student Recreation Center – Partial Roof Replacement Sealed proposals will be received by the State of North Carolina through East Carolina University, Facilities Engineering and Architectural Services, 1001 East Fourth Street, Greenville, NC 27858, up to 2:00 pm, June 2, 2026, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for: Project Name: Eakin Student Recreation Center – Partial Roof Replacement Location: 128 E 7th St, Greenville, NC 27858 SCO Project ID: 24-29075-01A Work includes removal of the existing standing seam metal roof, board insulation and five translucent Kalwall skylights; and installation of new insulation, air/vapor/water barrier membranes, standing seam metal roofing, gutters, downspouts, and new translucent skylights as a complete replacement assembly over existing active court floors. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. Pre-Bid Meeting An open pre-bid meeting will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 1:30 pm at the project site (ESRC Classroom), 128 E 7th St, Greenville, NC 27858. Per GS 133-3, this meeting will identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards for owner approval. The following preferred brand item is being considered as an Alternate: Kalwall Corporation, Inc. – Translucent Roof Panel Skylight System (5 skylights at gymnasium ridge) Justification of any approvals will be made available to the public in writing no later than seven (7) days prior to bid date.
