NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION OF NORTH CAROLINA FOR APPROVAL OF BONDS NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the undersigned to file an application with the Local Government Commission of North Carolina in Raleigh, North Carolina, for its approval of the issuance of the following proposed bonds of the City of Raleigh, North Carolina, which bonds shall be subject to the approval of the voters of said City at a referendum: $101,500,000 HOUSING BONDS of the City of Raleigh, North Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, for community development programs to provide and rehabilitate multifamily and single family housing inside the corporate limits of said City, principally for the benefit of persons of low and moderate income, including, without limitation, (a) the construction or rehabilitation of housing or neighborhood revitalization improvements, (b) programs to provide loans and other financial assistance to such persons and to public and private providers of housing and (c) the acquisition of any related land, rights of way and equipment. $101,500,000 TRANSPORTATION BONDS of the City of Raleigh, North Carolina, for the purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, for various transportation related improvements inside and outside the corporate limits of said City, including, without limitation, street, sidewalk and streetscape improvements, bridges, bicycle lanes, curbs and drains, traffic controls, greenways, bus and train station and shelter improvements, and the acquisition of any related land, rights of way and equipment. Any citizen or taxpayer of the City of Raleigh, North Carolina who objects to said bonds in whole or in part may file with the Local Government Commission of North Carolina a statement setting forth his or her objections and containing his or her name and address as provided in Section 159-50 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, in which event such person shall also file a copy of said statement with the undersigned, at any time within seven days from the date of publication of this notice. Objections set forth in said statement will be considered by said Commission, along with said application, in determining whether to approve or disapprove said application.
