City of Fayetteville Fire Station #16 Barr & Barr| Horus is now accepting pre-qualification applications for the construction of the new City of Fayetteville Fire Station #16 with a Prequalification deadline of Fri., 2/06/2026 unless modified by the CM or Owner at a future date. This facility is 10,460 square feet, incorporating firefighter living/working quarters, two (2) drive-thru apparatus bays, turnout gear storage room, decontamination room, tool storage room, electrical room, mezzanine/mechanical room, information technology room, fitness room, meditation room, public/private bathrooms, dorm rooms, day room, kitchen, offices, and a training/community meeting space room. The fire station exterior is brick veneer, backed by load bearing metal studs, and the bays will be load-bearing masonry cladded with brick. The roof system structure is light gauge metal trusses and 30-year shingles, with an alternate for standing seam metal roofing. There are two (2) prequalification groups for this project. The first (and current) prequal group is for the following trade / suppler categories: general trades, earthwork & site utilities, structural concrete (foundation, & stair infill, emergency gas generator, 600-amp panels & circuits. The second prequalification group is for the remaining trades scheduled for the end of April 2026. In accordance with the N.C. General Statutes 143-129, 143-128.1, 143-135.8, all bidders must be pre-qualified by the Construction Manager to submit a sealed bid proposal for this project. All 1 st tier subcontractors or suppliers are required to complete the pre-qualification process and complete a Subcontractor / Supplier Trade Partner Qualification Form.
