INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT PROGRAM-NOTICE OF SIGNIFICANT NON-COMPLIANCE The Town of Holly Springs is required by Federal law (40 CFR 403.8 (f)(2)(viii)) and State law (15A NCAC 02H .0903(b)(34)), to publish a list of Industrial Users that, at any time during the previous 12 months, were in Significant Non-Compliance with applicable Pretreatment Requirements or Standards. During the period of January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025, there were no incidents of non-compliance within the system. During the period of July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, Amgen Inc. has been identified as being in Significant Non-Compliance for two parameters: acetone and total phenol during their pre-production startup phase. Neither has caused harm to the Utley Creek Water Reclamation Facility nor the environment. Amgen acted proactively to notify the Town and stopped sending wastewater flow until the situation was resolved. The Town continues to partner with local industries to ensure compliance.
