NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO APPLICATION BY DUPLIN COUNTY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMENDED Notice is hereby given that the Duplin County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on February 2, 2026, at 6:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the agenda will allow, in the County Commissioners Meeting Room located at 224 Seminary Street, Kenansville, NC, in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in the community. Duplin County anticipates submitting a CDBG application(s) in 2026. Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low- and moderate-income persons, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comments on the County's use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
