Wayne County Request for Qualifications For Professional Engineering Services The County of Wayne has received a Community Development Block Grant-Neighborhood Revitalization (CDBG-NR) grant in the amount of $750,000 (representing 100% of project cost) from the North Carolina Department of Commerce (NCDOC) for the 2021 CDBG-NR Project which includes 2 housing units to be demolished and reconstructed and 4 units to be rehabilitated within a designated project area. In addition, storm drainage improvements will be made within the project area. The County is proposing to install 475 LF of storm drainage pipe and undertake 375 LF of ditch clearance and restoration. Total budget for drainage improvements, including engineering services, is $165,000. Drainage work to be completed within the next 12 months. The County of Wayne is soliciting requests for qualifications for professional engineering services to assist the County in subsequent engineering design and bid package services, surveying, and construction inspection services related to this project in compliance with all applicable federal requirements and regulations under the NC CDBG-NR program. Engineering payment terms will be negotiated with the selected firm. The fee for professional engineering services will be paid with CDBG-NR funds. This is the second request for qualifications.
