Public Notice Temporary regulatory speed limit reduction on I-5, from MP 109.20 to MP 116.75, starting September 8th, 2026. The changes will be in effect Tuesday through Saturday, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will reduce the speed limit from 60 mph to 45 mph. During these hours, travelers can expect lane closures, shoulder closures, to accommodate construction activities. The reduced speed limit is the result of coordinated effort between WSDOT and law enforcement to ensure safe traffic operations over a temporary roadway configuration during construction.
