The drop box submittal deadline is 10:00 AM, August 26, 2026 (REVISED), at which time the drop box will be locked and sealed bids held until the bid opening. Bids will be opened in the lobby of Olympia City Hall and read aloud at 10:00 AM on August 26, 2026 (REVISED). Any bids received after this bid submittal deadline will not be accepted. This project provides for construction of a new community park. Elements are: Site preparation including mobilization, clearing and grading; Parking and roadway work including a paved parking lot, gravel parking lot, construction of 57th Ave SE through the site and improvements to Wiggins Road and Yelm Hwy; Site Improvements including construction of a restroom, prefabricated picnic shelter, circulation pathways, kiosks, site furnishings, landscaping and irrigation; Installation of playground equipment (procured by the City prior to construction) and fall protection surfacing; Construction of a dog park; Installation of sport courts including one infilled synthetic turf field, 13 pickleball courts, 2 basketball courts, a soccer mini pitch and Lappset interactive play feature; utility work including power, sewer, stormwater and water systems; construction of a maintenance yard and maintenance administration and shop buildings; and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Engineer's Probable Opinion of Cost ranges from $20,000,000 to $30,000,000. (REVISED) Attendance at one pre-bid meeting is mandatory. The pre-bid meeting consists of two portions: (1) An on-site review held at 5709 Wiggins Rd SE, Olympia, WA; and (2) an informational presentation. The pre-bid meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026, fulfilled only the on-site review portion of the requirement as the informational presentation was cancelled. Those who attended the July 29, 2026 on-site meeting have the option of either completing the informational presentation portion of the pre-bid meeting requirement remotely on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 10AM, which will complete their pre-bid meeting requirement; OR they may attend the pre-bid meeting with both the on-site and informational portions scheduled on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 10AM at 5709 Wiggins Rd SE, Olympia, WA. Those who did not attend the onsite portion of the pre-bid meeting on July 29, 2026 are ineligible to attend the remote option to complete the mandatory pre-bid meeting requirement and are, instead, required to attend the pre-bid meeting on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 10AM at 5709 Wiggins Rd SE, Olympia, WA. Bids received from bidders who did not attend both portions of a pre-bid meeting, consisting of the onsite and informational portions, will be considered non-responsive. The City of Olympia does not discriminate against any entity based on any status protected by law in consideration for award of a City contract. The prime contractor on a City contract of $50,000 or more shall comply with Olympia's Equal Benefits Ordinance, Olympia Municipal Code Chapter 3.18 All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Olympia, in an amount of not less than (5) percent of the total bid amount.
