NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING May 24, 2026 The Olympia Hearing Examiner will hold a hybrid in person & virtual public hearing on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. to allow public testimony prior to making a decision on the following project: Project Name / File: West Bay Development LLC / 21-5854 Project Location: 1210 West Bay Drive Applicant: West Bay Development LLC Lead Planner: Nicole Floyd, 360-570-3768, nfloyd@ci.olympia.wa.us Project Description: Construction of five buildings above a public plaza and structured parking. Each of the five buildings will include five stories. The project includes 478 residential units, approximately 22,000sf of commercial use such as restaurant/café, an expanded waterfront trail and various public amenities. Shoreline restoration project components include placement of granular fill over the existing hard armored shoreline to create a naturally functioning intertidal beach. Public Hearing Date/Time: Monday, June 8, 2026, 9:00 A.M. The hearing will include two public comment opportunities at 9:00 A.M and another at 6:00 P.M. The Hearing Examiner will be attending remotely / will not be at City Hall. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Olympia Hearing Examiner will combine the following actions into this single hearing as is required by state law: Hold an open record public hearing to receive public comments prior to making a decision on the above referenced project. Anyone interested is invited to attend via Zoom Webinar or in person and present testimony regarding the above proposal. At the time of registration and sign up, attendees will have the option to indicate the desire to give public testimony. Written statements may be submitted to the staff contact email above or to Olympia Community Planning and Economic Development Department, PO Box 1967, Olympia, WA 98507-1967. Written statements submitted before June 8th will be provided to the Examiner by Staff. Written statements may be presented at the hearing. All previously submitted comments have been provided to the Hearing Examiner for consideration and do not need to be re-submitted. Hold a closed record public hearing on the SEPA Appeal submitted for the SEPA DNS issued by the City on the above referenced project. Anyone interested is invited to attend via Zoom Webinar but only witnesses specifically identified as such will be called upon to speak.
