CALL FOR BIDS CITY OF RAINIER 2026 ROADWAY TREATMENTS Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Rainier, 102 Rochester Street, Rainier, Washington 98576, up to 10:00 a.m.; local time on Monday, May 18, 2026, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the 2026 Roadway Treatments. This Contract provides for pavement repairs and chip seal surface treatments to roadways in Rainier. There are two schedules of work and one additive: Schedule A provides for pavement repairs to Centre Street and Rochester Street in preparation of chip seal, and construction of gravel shoulders along a segment of Centre Street, with the work to include (and not necessarily limited to) removal of damaged pavement in specified areas, preparation of subgrade, installation of pavement repair, and placement of gravel for shoulders; Schedule B provides for the application of chip seal to approximately 1.4 miles of roadways, with the work to include (and not necessarily limited to) placement of emulsified asphalt and aggregate for chip seal, and application of roadway markings; Additive 1 provides for the application of a fog seal layer to the roadways treated with chip seal. The Work shall be substantially complete within 25 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Rainier, Washington. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "City of Rainier" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.
