Public Hearing Notice
Notice is hereby given that the City of Lacey Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, beginning at 6:05 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College St. S.E., in the Council Chambers, for consideration of the following item:
The City of Lacey is proposing amendments to the Lacey Municipal Code to establish regulations for Infill Residential Development (proposed Chapter 16.52 LMC), and update related code sections to implement middle housing and accessory dwelling unit (ADU) standards. The proposal would establish allowed housing types, density and unit-counting methods, and development standards for residential infill. This action is intended to expand housing options within the City of Lacey - consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and recent state housing legislation including HB 1110 and HB 1337.
The above summary is only an overview of the proposal. A complete draft is available for review. Interested individuals should contact the Community and Economic Development Department for draft materials.
The purpose of the public hearing is to give anyone an opportunity to testify to the Planning Commission regarding the above proposal. Anyone who cannot attend the meeting may give testimony in a letter addressed to: Lacey Planning Commission, 420 College St. SE, Lacey, WA 98503 or e-mailed to jennifer.adams@cityoflacey.org.
