Public Notice The City of Lacey, (420 College Street SE, Lacey, WA 98503) and AquaTechnex, LLC. (P.O. Box 118, Centralia, WA 98531) are seeking modification of coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology Aquatic Plant and Algae Management NPDES for the Water Body known as Hicks Lake located in Lacey,WA. Activities requiring the modification include changing the treatment timing window that is currently July 15th- December 31st. Requested modifications include allowing for treatments targeting noxious weeds to occur from April 1st-June 30th and treatments targeting nuisance native plants to occur from June 1st-December 31st. The modification of treatment timing windows allows noxious weeds to be targeted prior to seed development and nuisance weeds to be targeted prior to decrease in lake water level to allow for safe access of treatment equipment. Any person desiring to present their views to Ecology regarding this application may do so in writing within thirty days of the last date of publication of this notice. Comments should address whether coverage under this permit is appropriate for the proposed project. Comments must be submitted to Ecology.
