SUMMARY FOR PUBLICATION ORDINANCE NO 1688 CITY OF LACEY The City Council of the City of Lacey, Washington, passed on December 2nd, 2025, Ordinance No. 1688, entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LACEY RELATED TO DEVELOPMENT REVIEW AND PERMITTING PROCEDURES, ADOPTING A NEW TITLE 11 ENTITLED "DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURES"; AMENDING CHAPTERS 2.30, 3.64, 5.12, 5.40, 5.42, 12.20, 12.30, 14.04, 14.21, 14.23 – 14.30, 14.32, 14.33, 14.34, 14.36, 14.37, 15.01, 15.04, 15.06, 15.07, 15.08, 15.10, 15.20, AND 15.22; REPEALING CHAPTERS 16.60, 16.66, 16.82, 16.84, 16.90, AND 16.96; ALL OF THE LACEY MUNICIPAL CODE; REPEALING CHAPTER 1 OF THE CITY OF LACEY DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES AND PUBLIC WORKS STANDARDS; AND APPROVING A SUMMARY FOR PUBLICATION." The main points of the Ordinance are described as follows: The Ordinance adopts a new Title 11 "Development Procedures" which consolidates all permit processing and land use review procedures into one title of the Lacey Municipal Code. The Ordinance repeals and amends related chapters from several titles of the LMC and Chapter 1 of the Development Guidelines and Public Works Standards (Ord. 1669, Dec. 17, 2024), relocating and updating them within the new Title 11.
