PUBLIC NOTICE SC DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES BUREAU OF COASTAL MANAGEMENT PG Inlet Partners (466 King Street, Suite 400, Charleston, SC) has applied to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services Bureau of Coastal Management for a permit to relocate Pawleys Inlet approximately 1,000 feet south of the public parking area at the south end of Springs Avenue on Pawleys Island. A new channel will be excavated up to 350 feet wide, including side slopes, to a depth of –8 feet NAVD. Up to 300,000 cubic yards of sand will be relocated within the project area to accomplish inlet relocation and dune restoration. Work will be completed in accordance within timeframes conditions provided in a USFWS Programmatic Biological Opinion, and is expected to take 30-45 days. The project is for public use adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean.
