Community Meetings for the
Proposed South Carolina Highway 22 Extension
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District (Corps) intends to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) to assess the potential social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed South Carolina Highway 22 Extension (SAC-2024-00107). The Corps will hold a series of community meetings to share information on the Tier I Screening Criteria and resulting Preliminary Alternative corridors as well as proposed Tier II Screening Criteria being prepared as part of the DEIS. A pre-recorded presentation will be available at SC-22Extension.com beginning on February 23, 2026. Drop-in style meetings will be held March 2-March 4 from 4 pm-6 pm at the following locations:
