Environmental Cleanup Community Involvement Plan
The Air Force Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program requests your input for a Community Involvement Plan (CIP) for the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base (AFB). The BRAC program is responsible for cleaning up residual environmental contamination from past military operations when Myrtle Beach AFB was an active base. There are currently no issues regarding public health associated with this effort, but community input is a critical element of the environmental clean-up process. Your input will provide the Air Force with information on how best to keep the community actively involved and informed. The online survey takes about 5-10 minutes to complete and is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MyrtleBeachCIP or by scanning the QR code. To request a phone interview, contact afimsc. pa.workflow@us.af.mil. Online/phone interviews must be completed by March 15, 2026.
