Public Notice Phillip and Dennis Elvis have applied to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services, Bureau of Coastal Management for a permit amendment to install a 96 linear foot vinyl bulkhead exposed 6' above the mudline for erosion control. The proposed project consists of modifications to the permitted 96 LF bulkhead. The project includes realigning the bulkhead so that it's straight across the back of the property and ties into the adjacent bulkhead to the north. Rather than being constructed at the critical area line as originally authorized, these changes will result in a portion of the bulkhead that will be 4.99' channel ward of the critical line area line and a portion that will be 6.72' landward of the critical line. In the area where the bulkhead will be landward of the critical area, the upland will be excavated and converted to critical area. There will be no changes to permitted dock or dredging activities associated with this permit, for private use at 2389 Sailfish Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC. 29576 in Georgetown County on Murrells Inlet Creek.
