Happy Centennial Birthday Louise Jenkins!
Mrs. Louise Alston Jenkins was born on March 15, 1925, in the North Santee Community of Georgetown County to Mr. Alex Alston Sr. and Mrs. Josephine Green Alston. She was the fifth of twelve children and grew up in a Christian household, learning the value of giving and kindness.
Louise married Mr. Richard Jenkins Sr. and had two daughters and one son, who gave her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was known for her generosity, with her children saying, "She's going to give everything in the house away." However, they learned that what she gave away always seemed to multiply.
Louise was a refined woman, never demonstrating unkindness, and was industrious in sewing, gardening, and cooking. She encouraged others, especially young people, to never give up and strive for excellence. Her motto was: "Trust in God, have faith, and show love to everyone."
Louise celebrated her 100th birthday, attributing her longevity to God's grace and the love and caring of others. Her family and community cherish her influence and legacy. God bless you, Louise. Happy Birthday!
