This Groundwater Sustainability Plan was adopted pursuant to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) for the Eastern San Joaquin Groundwater Subbasin (Subbasin), which is identified by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) as being in a state of critical overdraft, by Groundwater Sustainability Agencies identified on page 2 of this Summons. This Subbasin underlies portions of San Joaquin, Calaveras, and Stanislaus counties. This GSP addresses measures to attain sustainable conditions in the Subbasin.
