NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF MODESTO Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Plan Amendment and Acceptance of Year Five funds Notice is hereby given that a public hearing to consider the City of Modesto’s Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Plan Amendment and Acceptance of Year Five funds will be held by the City Council of the City of Modesto on June 9, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Basement Level, Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St., Modesto, California. The PLHA Plan is the City of Modesto’s five‑year framework describing how State PLHA funds will be used to address affordable housing needs, increase housing supply, and support homelessness prevention efforts. The Plan outlines eligible activities, funding priorities, income targeting, and alignment with the City’s Housing Element and Consolidated Plan. The City is amending the Plan to revise the intended use of Years Four and Five allocations in response to new State requirements. In compliance with the City’s PLHA Policy, the community participation process includes a 15-day public comment period beginning May 25, 2026 and ending June 9, 2026. Members of the public who wish to address the Council, by providing public comment, during the meeting must do so in-person in the Council Chambers.
