View original fileRESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF GRAYSON COMMUNITY CENTER AND PARK PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT §25580 ET SEQ. (THE COUNTY PARK ABANDONMENT LAW OF 1959)
WHEREAS, Stanislaus County (“County”) owns property located at along Mary Street in Grayson (APN 016-034-014-000) (“Parcel 14); and
WHEREAS, the County desires to convey a portion of Parcel 14 to the City of Modesto for storm drainage purposes as depicted on Exhibit A attached hereto (“Subject Property”), based on its appraised value; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Government Code §25580 et seq., the County Park Abandonment Law of 1959, the County Board of Supervisors may abandon all or any portion of a public park when it determines that the public interest no longer requires that the property be used for park purposes; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the unanimous vote of all members of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Stanislaus as follows:
1. The Board of Supervisors hereby declares its intention to abandon the Subject Property pursuant to Government Code §25580 et seq.
2. A public hearing to consider final action on the proposed abandonment shall be held at 9:00 AM on March 31, 2026, in the basement at 1010 10th Street, at which time and place all persons interested in the proposed abandonment shall be given an opportunity to be heard.
