NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL QUALIFIED PERSONS that on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, a Statewide Direct Primary Election will be held in the County of Stanislaus, State of California.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at the Statewide Direct Primary Election candidates will be elected to or nominated to run in the November 3, 2026, General Election for the following offices:
VOTER-NOMINATED OFFICE
U.S. Representative – District 5
U.S. Representative – District 13
State Senate – District 4
State Assembly – District 9
State Assembly – District 22
COUNTY NONPARTISAN OFFICE
County Supervisor – District 3
County Supervisor – District 4
Superior Court Judge – Office 1 through 11
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Declaration of Candidacy forms will be available and must be filed beginning Monday, February 9, 2026, through Friday, March 6, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. at the office of the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters, located at 1021 "I" Street, Suite 101, Modesto, California. If an eligible incumbent does not file during this period, there will be an extension of the nomination period for that specific office until Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for anyone other than the incumbent. Additionally, candidates for Superior Court Judge must file a mandatory Declaration of Intent form with the Registrar of Voters beginning January 26, 2026, through February 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. If an eligible incumbent does not file a Declaration of Intent during this period, there will be an extension of the Declaration of Intent filing period for that specific office until Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for anyone other than the incumbent.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to current California election laws, all actively registered voters shall receive a vote by mail ballot. Vote centers will begin opening 10 days prior to Election Day to provide in person voting services. Language and accessibility assistance will be available at all voting locations. Secure ballot drop boxes will be available 29 days prior to Election Day. Vote center and secure ballot box locations, dates and times will be listed in the county voter information guide and posted on www.stanvote.gov. All vote centers and the county elections office will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that ballots from the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election are to be tallied and the canvass of the vote will be conducted at the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters Office (central counting place) at 1021 "I" Street, Suite 101, Modesto, California, commencing no later than 9:00 a.m. June 4, 2026.
