NOTICE OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE CITY OF MODESTO The following is a summary of an Ordinance that was adopted by the City Council of the City of Modesto at the meeting of December 2, 2025: Ordinance No. 3804-C.S. AN URGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF MODESTO MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 4, CHAPTER 23, "RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF SPECIFIED ITEMS DURING PUBLIC ASSEMBLY," PROVIDING VARIOUS REVISIONS TO THE TIME, PLACE AND MANNER REGULATIONS AS TO PUBLIC ASSEMBLIES The revisions are necessary to clarify the various exceptions for the City's provision limiting face coverings while also providing additional clarity as to the factual support for the need for this face covering provision; further define the face covering exceptions; clarify the various regulations as to objects that can be converted into weapons; and elaborate on the need for the regulations for tactical gear and related clothing.
