NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 4, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors ("Board") will meet in the Basement Chambers, 1010 10th St., Modesto, CA, to consider an ordinance to adopt new fees and amend or eliminate existing fees for the Department of Parks and Recreation. The proposed new and amended or eliminated fees and fee adjustments would consist of:
• Increase Holiday Fee
• Increase Fireworks Show Event Fee
• Increase On-Line Reservation Fee
• Increase Cancellation Fee
• Establish Vessel Inspection Fee
• Establish Filming Fee
• Increase Concession/Vendor License Fee
• Eliminate Courthouse Lawn Use Fee and move to existing Exclusive Use Fee category
• Establish Event Administrative Fee
• Establish Event Application Fee
• Establish Event Deposit up to 2,499 person and 2,500 – 4,999 persons
• Establish Event Daily Fee
• Establish Equipment Rental Fee
• Establish Park Maintenance Labor Rate
• Establish Park Vaulted Restroom Use Fee
ADDITIONAL NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Department of Parks and Recreation 2026 Fee Schedule will be available for review on October 21, 2025, in the Clerk of the Board Office, 1010 10th Street, Suite 6700, Modesto, CA.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at the said time and place, interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard. Material submitted to the Board for consideration (i.e. photos, petitions, etc.) will be retained by the County. If a challenge to the above ordinance is made in court, persons may be limited to raising only those issues they or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Board of Supervisors.
