PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Education Code section 101460(b)(1)(A), prior to approving a project or projects seeking funds from the State Allocation Board (SAB), the Modesto City Schools Board of Education shall hold at least one public hearing to solicit input from members of the public regarding the construction project or projects being proposed for submission. The Modesto City Schools ("District") intends to file applications for eligibility determination and/or applications for funding under the School Facility Program (SFP) as provided in Education Code Section 17070.10, et seq. A public hearing on the question of the District filing applications for funding for construction projects will be held during the regular meeting of the Board on September 8, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable. Public Hearing Notices are posted at the following three (3) locations within the District's boundaries: 1.District Office, Modesto City Schools, located at 426 Locust Street, Modesto, CA 95351 2.Thomas Downey High School, located at 1000 Coffee Road, Modesto, CA 95355 3. Modesto High School, located at 18 H Street, Modesto, CA 95351 Any interested person may be heard on this matter of filing applications for funding for construction projects by submitting written comments via email to Rebecca Hurst, Administrative Assistant to the Associate Superintendent of Business Services and Chief Business Official, at Hurst.R@mcs4kids.com until NOON on the date of the hearing. If no legal protest is entered, the Board may adopt resolutions by majority vote of its members authorizing the filing of necessary applications under programs administered by the SAB for construction projects at all of the District's school sites and authorizing certain individuals to sign on behalf of the District.
