NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Federal regulations governing the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on the CONSOLIDATION PLAN 2026-2030 and first year 2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (AAP), which will direct the City's use of CDBG and HOME funds. HUD announced that the City of Miami Gardens will receive
$954,619.00 in CDBG funds and $359,789.70 in HOME funds for FY 2026. The City plans to use the entirety of these funds to provide housing and community development programs that will benefit low- to-moderate income persons in the City.
This notice formally advises that the CONSOLIDATION PLAN 2026-2030 and 2026 AAP DRAFT can be downloaded from the City of Miami Gardens Department of Community Development website at https://www.miamigardens-fl.gov/170/Community-Development. Written comments will be received for thirty (30) days, starting September 17th, 2026, until October 17th, 2026. Public Hearing: The City will hold a public hearing on September 16th, 2026, at 3:00 PM to review and discuss the proposed Consolidation Plan and first year 2026 AAP. The public hearing will be held at City Hall in the Community Room, 18605 NW 27th Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056.
The CONSOLIDATION PLAN and AAP outlines proposed projects and activities by the City's CDBG and HOME program to address the identified priority needs and goals of the plan.
CDBG Administration: $190,923.00 CDBG Public Services: $143,192.00
CDBG Public Facilities & Infrastructure: $520,504.00 CDBG Owner-Occupied Housing Rehab: $100,000.00 HOME Administration: $35,978.00
HOME CHDO Set-Aside: $53,969.70
HOME Affordable Housing Assistance: $269,842.00
