Public Notice NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENTS TO THE STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTHERSHIP, LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN FOR FISCAL YEARS 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028 State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Amendments to the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) For Fiscal Years 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028 Notice is hereby given by Miami-Dade County that the SHIP LHAP for Fiscal Years 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028 is being amended to comply with the requirements of the State of Florida’s Senate Bill (SB) 594 to include an affordable housing strategy for providing SHIP funds to mobile homeowners. Prior to adoption, Miami-Dade County will hold a public hearing on the proposed amended LHAP for Fiscal Years 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028 at the Housing Committee (HC) on September 9, 2026, at 12:30 pm in the Commission Chambers, located at 111 NW 1st Street, 2nd Floor, Miami, Florida 33128. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate. The proposed LHAP provides a three-year plan with incentives for providing affordable housing in Miami-Dade County. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to include a new strategy for the ability to provide SHIP funds to mobile homeowners to increase the delivery of affordable housing within Miami-Dade County pursuant to Section 420.907-9079, Florida Statutes and Rule Chapter 67-37, Florida Administrative Code. Public Comment Citizens are encouraged to review the amended LHAP for Fiscal Years 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028 and provide comments. The proposed amendment to the SHIP LHAP for FY 2025-2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028 will be available for review and comment from August 24, 2026, through September 9, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Miami-Dade Department of Housing and Community Development, located at 701 N.W. 1st Court, 14th Floor, Miami, Florida 33136.
