PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT & INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) - TAC-R EA-206A United Gate Power at Miami International Airport (MIA) CC-H and CC-G Electrical Services BID OPENING DATE: August 14, 2026 United Airlines, Inc ("United") is seeking primarily Electrical Contractor services on United's behalf with Miami-Dade Aviation Department ("MDAD"), their consultants, and the Miami-Dade Building & Permit department in Tenant Airport Construction Reimbursable (TAC-R) project EA-206A United Gate Power at MIA CC-H and CC-G. United will be initiating a Request for Proposal for Construction services ("RFP") using our online procurement portal Coupa. Licensed and qualified General or Electrical Contractor firms are encouraged to email United's Project Manager, Renee Burton, at renee.burton@united.com with subject line "TAC-R EA-206A Intent to Bid" before 5:00 pm EDT on Thursday, August 13, 2026 to indicate their intent to bid and to be included in the electronic RFP. Any email requests to be included in the RFP received after bid opening will have a corresponding reduced time to develop and timely submit proposals by the close date. This RFP is tentatively scheduled to open on Friday, August 14, 2026, pending completion of the 100% design drawings, and close on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at noon EDT. Complete proposal responses must be submitted electronically in the manner detailed in the RFP documents, and in no other manner. Bids submitted in any other manner, or after RFP close, will not be considered. Bids will be opened and evaluations will start the afternoon of Tuesday, September 8, 2026. PROJECT DETAILS: United will be installing approx. 369 new underseat power modules to existing holdroom seating for personal device charging in 5 holdrooms (G14, H12, H14, H15, H17) at Miami International Airport (MIA). This RFP covers only the enabling electrical infrastructure and 80-90 slab cores to bring power to these holdrooms. (Note: A separate equipment vendor will provide and install these power modules after the electrical enabling work is completed.) The RFP will include the 100% drawings and proposed schedule, with construction work planned for November 2026. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Proposers must be Florida-licensed Certified Electrical Contractor, or other properly licensed general or electrical contractor authorized to perform and permit work in Miami-Dade County, have the ability to meet MDAD's insurance and bonding requirements, and have demonstrable experience performing similar post-security work at a major airport, preferably at MIA. SIDA badging or proper escorting of staff is mandatory. Proposals are to be based on Time & Materials, and need to show projected hours/durations, projected reimbursable expenses, and exclusions.
