NOTICE OF DESIGN PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING Florida’s Turnpike (S.R. 821) Interchange Improvements at US 1 Miami-Dade County, FL Financial Project ID Number: 452112-1 The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise will hold a Design Public Information Meeting for the above referenced project. Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), is designing improvements for the interchange at US 1 and Florida’s Turnpike (SR 821) in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Proposed enhancements include upgrades to roadway operations, improved traffic monitoring and management systems, and technology-driven solutions to support more efficient movement through this section of Florida’s Turnpike. Improvements include, widening the SR 821 southbound exit ramp and existing bridge at US 1 from one to two lanes, widening the SR 821 southbound exit ramp at Davis Parkway from one to two lanes, constructing a new bypass lane from southbound US 1 for vehicles wishing to travel westbound on Palm Drive, adding turn lanes at the intersection of US 1 and Palm Drive, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) improvements from the US 1 Interchange to the Campbell Drive Interchange, and constructing a new Shared Use Path on US 1 southbound. This meeting will give interested people an opportunity to review the project design and ask questions about the proposed improvements. All meeting materials will be 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. available for review the day of the virtual meeting on the project website.
