GENERAL ELECTION NOTICE Pursuant to §5.01 of the Village Charter, North Bay Village will be holding its General Election on November 3, 2026. The Village is governed by a Commission of five (5) Members, all of whom shall be qualified electors of the Village. If you are interested in running for office, the following information is provided for your guidance. The following seats are up for election on November 3, 2026: Mayor Harbor Island Commissioner At-Large Commissioner The candidate seeking the seat of Mayor or the At-Large Commissioner shall reside on any of the said Islands of the Village for a continuous period of not less than one (1) year prior to the initial date of filing of qualifying papers. The candidate elected to office must be and shall remain a permanent resident of the Village for the duration of the term of office. The Candidate seeking the seat of Harbor Island Commissioner must be a resident of the respective Island for a continuous period of not less than one (1) year prior to the initial date of filing of qualifying papers. A candidate elected to office must be and shall remain a permanent resident of Harbor Island for the duration of the term of office. The Qualifying Period for the North Bay Village General Election of November 3, 2026, will commence at 12:00 p.m. on July 20, 2026, and conclude at 12:00 p.m. on July 31, 2026. Any citizen who can qualify for the office of Mayor or Commissioner of the Village, as provided above, shall be nominated by a petition for this purpose signed by not less than (50) electors of the Village, and filed with the Village Clerk during the qualifying period.
