Public Hearing M I A M I - D A D E C O U N T Y COMMUNITY ZONING APPEALS BOARD 5 will hold a Public Hearing on the following zoning applications on July 28, 2026, at 7:00p.m. at Norman and Jean Reach Park, Recreation Room, 7895 NW 176 Street, Miami, Fl T H I S I S A N I N - P E R S O N M E E T I N G APPLICANT: ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL OF CHRIST THE SAVIOUR, INC.Z2025000178 The application is to modify a condition of a prior resolution in order to submit revised plans for the religious facility located on the subject property. The revised plans indicate the addition of eight residential units housed within four 2-story-high duplex buildings, as well as a gazebo structure, being proposed on the vacant (rear) portion of the existing church facility. These proposed residential units are intended to provide housing for clergy, employees, and members associated with the religious facility. MODIFICATION of Condition #2 of Resolution No. 4-ZAB-339-88, last modified by Resolution No. 4-ZAB-157-92, both passed and adopted by the Metropolitan Dade County Zoning Appeals Board, and reading as follows: FROM: “2. That in the approval of the plan, the same be substantially in accordance with that submitted for the hearing entitled ‘Proposed Facilities for Orthodox Cathedral of Christ the Savior,’ as prepared by Schwebke-Shiskin & Associates, Inc., dated last revised 10-9-91 on Page 1, dated 5-1-91 on Pages A-2, A-5 and A-6.” TO: “2. That in the approval of the plan, the same be substantially in accordance with that submitted for the hearing entitled ‘New Kodiak Housing Project,’ as prepared by Wolfberg Alvarez & Partners, Inc., consisting of 19 sheets, and landscape plans as prepared by Gardner + Semler Landscape Architecture, consisting of 5 sheets, all dated stamped received 4/17/2026, for a total of 24 sheets.” The purpose of the aforementioned request is to allow the applicant to submit revised plans showing the addition of four duplex residences (for clergy, employees, and members associated with the religious facility), and a gazebo structure being proposed on the vacant portion of the site that is located towards the rear (east) of the existing religious facility. The aforementioned plans are on file and may be examined in the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. Plans may be modified at Public Hearing.
