ANNOUNCEMENT OF LOCATION AND DESIGN CONCEPT ACCEPTANCE State Road (S.R.) 826/Palmetto Expressway from S.R. 5/United States (U.S.) 1/Dixie Highway to NW 25th Street Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study Miami-Dade County, Florida Financial Project Identification Number: 432639-1-22-01 Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) Number: 14308 On June 10, 2026, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT, granted Location and Design Concept Acceptance for the State Road (S.R.) 826/Palmetto Expressway PD&E Study from S.R. 5/U.S. 1/Dixie Highway to NW 25th Street. The proposed improvements include evaluating corridor improvements that will add highway and interchange lanes, as well as interchange improvements. The study focused on addressing existing and future traffic needs, improving travel time reliability, enhancing safety, and providing long-term mobility options along the corridor.
