PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM (HOME) FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN 30-DAY COMMENTING PERIOD – MAY 18 TO JUNE 18, 2026 The City of North Miami (City) has received a total of $1,035,185.80 in federal grant funds for FY 2026-2027 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) comprised of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation of $754,383.00 and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) program allocation of $280,802.80. CDBG and HOME funds can be used to develop stronger communities by providing decent housing, creating suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities. Activities must benefit low- and moderate-income persons, with at least 70% of funding benefiting households with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. The City’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan (AAP) describes how the CDBG and HOME grant allocations will address the needs, objectives, and goals set in its FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan. After City Council approval, the AAP will be submitted to HUD for approval on or before August 15, 2026.
