The City of Hialeah is seeking qualified contractors to perform specialized surfacing repairs at two City playground locations: McDonald Park and the Wilde Community Center. At McDonald Park, the project entails a re-top over 3,975 sq. ft. of existing Pour- in-Place (PIP) surface. Similarly, the Wilde Community Center requires a re-top of 4,410 sq. ft. of Pour-In-Place (PIP) surfacing. This scope includes comprehensive site preparation—comprising surface inspection, power washing, and crack repair—followed by the application of a polyurethane primer and a hand-troweled EPDM wearing course to ensure a uniform, slip-resistant, and durable playground surface. Bids received after said date and time or in some other manner than as stated above will not be considered and no time extensions or waivers will be granted. A bid bond will be required if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00. A Bid Bond, a certified check, cashier’s check, Treasurer’s check, or bank draft of any State or National Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must be submitted as an original hard copy prior to the closing date and time of the solicitation. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required if the contract amount exceeds $200,000.00. After an approved award, the successful Respondent shall post a Performance and Payment Bond from a Corporate Surety equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project total, unless otherwise specified. Failure to timely submit any required Bond(s) will result in the disqualification of the bid response or rescission of the bid award, as applicable. The City of Hialeah reserves the right to reject any and all responses, and to decide to re-advertise/re-bid or not, or to waive any informalities or minor irregularities, technicalities, or omissions, in the solicitation process.
