PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (SHIP) LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN (LHAP) FOR FISCAL YEARS 2026-2027, 2027-2028, AND 2028-2029 COMMENTING PERIOD – MARCH 30 TO APRIL 13, 2026 Notice is hereby given by the City of North Miami (City) that a draft of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) for Fiscal Years 2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029 will be available to the public for review and comment starting March 30, 2026, and ending April 13, 2026. The City will hold a public hearing to adopt the proposed LHAP for Fiscal Years 2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029 at the Council Meeting on April 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the North Miami Council Chambers located at 776 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL 33161. Interested parties ae encouraged to attend and participate. The Proposed Plan provides a three-year plan describing how the SHIP grant allocations will address the needs, objectives, and goals set forth in the strategies to increase the delivery of affordable housing within the City pursuant to Section 420.907-9079, Florida Statutes and Rule Chapter 67-37, Florida Administration Code. PUBLIC COMMENT Citizens are encouraged to review the draft LHAP for Fiscal Years 2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029 and provide comments. Printed copies of the Plan will be available at the Housing and Social Services Department at 12300 NE 8th Avenue, North Miami, FL and the North Miami Public Library at 835 NE 132nd Street, North Miami, FL. You can also view the full draft of the Plan online on the City's website at www.NorthMiamiFL.gov/2026LHAP.
