Notice is also given that a Public Hearing will be held. These funds provide programs that benefit low- to-moderate income persons in the City. This notice formally advises that the draft Substantial Amendments can be downloaded from the City of Miami Gardens Department of Community Development website at https://www.miamigardens- fl.gov/170/Community-Development. The public hearing will be held at City Hall in the Community Room, 18605 NW 27th Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056. The Consolidated Plan assesses the housing and community development needs and identifies the overall priority needs in the City over a five-year period. A strategic plan with goals was created to address these needs. The City received HOME funds for the first time in PY 2025, which is the final year of the 2021- 2025 Consolidated Plan. To administer HOME funds the City is required to make a Substantial Amendment to the Plan, and will include HOME funds as a resource. A goal for Affordable Housing Assistance was also included to benefit low-to moderate-income owner- and renter-occupied households. The City received $395,843.18 in HOME funds for PY 2025.
