FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN CDBG PUBLIC SERVICES GRANT AWARDS
The City of North Miami (“City”) is an “entitlement” community that receives funding assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) through the Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (“HOME”) programs. On July 8, 2025, the City approved its Annual Action Plan (“Plan”) for fiscal year (FY) 2025-2026 for the use of CDBG and HOME funds; the Plan was subsequently submitted to HUD for approval. HUD allows a maximum of 15% of the City’s annual CDBG allocation to be used to support non-profit organizations commonly referred to as Community- Based Organizations (CBOs) to provide public services (including labor, supplies, materials, etc.) to benefit low- and moderate-income persons (at or below 80% of the area median income).
On July 6, 2025, a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for Public Services was issued to CBOs; proposals were received, reviewed, and awards approved by the City Manager on September 5, 2025. The following are the CBOs and related awards for FY 2025-2026:
