PACHECO WATER DISTRICT NOTICE OF ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a general election is scheduled to be held in Pacheco Water District (the "District") on November 3, 2026, for office of Director. There are two (2) four-year terms to be filled. In accordance with Section 34700 of the California Water Code, to be qualified, that person must be over the age of eighteen (18) years and be (i) a holder of title to land within the District as defined in Section 34030 of the California Water Code; or (ii) the legal representative of a holder of title to land within the District as defined in Section 34030 of the California Water Code; or (iii) a representative designated by a holder of title to land within the District, if the holder has filed with the District written evidence of that designation. Official declaration of candidacy forms for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the District office at 643 J Street, Los Banos, California 93635. The forms are available commencing July 13, 2026, and must be filed in the District office no later than August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Candidates (see Elec. Code Section 10509(b)) are to pay for the publication of qualifications pursuant to Section 13307 of the Elections Code. Appointment to each elective office will be made as prescribed by Section 10515 of the Elections Code in the event there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for such office and a petition for an election is not filed within the time period prescribed by Section 10515 of the Election Code.
