NOTICE OF GENERAL DISTRICT ELECTION TURNER ISLAND WATER DISTRICT TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF TURNER ISLAND WATER DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that a General District Election will be held in this District on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. 1. OFFICES TO BE FILLED: The names of the offices for which candidates may be nominated are as follows: Directors (3) at large 2.QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE: The qualifications of a nominee and of an elective office of the District are as follows: Each director shall be over the age of eighteen (18) years old and be one of the following: (a) a holder of title of land within the District (b) the legal representative of a holder of title to land within the District in accordance with California Water Code Section 34030 (c) a representative designated by a holder of title to land within the District, if the holder has filed with the District written evidence of that designation. 3. NOMINATION PROCEDURES: Official filing papers for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the Water & Land Solutions Office, 643 J Street, Los Banos, California 93635. Declaration of Candidacy forms will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m., on July 13, 2026, through 5:00 p.m., August 7, 2026. Filing Deadline: Declaration of Candidacy must be filed at the Water & Land Solutions Office located at 643 J Street, Los Banos, California 93635. No Declaration of Candidacy will be accepted for filing after August 7, 2026. 4. APPOINTMENT IN LIEU OF ELECTION: Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 10515, if there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for any office and a petition for an election is not filed with the elections official within the time period described in Section 10515, appointment to each elective office will be made as prescribed by Section 10515.
