Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk. A mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk will be conducted to answer any questions and explain details regarding bidding requirements, specifications, and scope of work. This conference and job walk will give bidding contractors the opportunity to investigate and fully acquaint themselves with the conditions relating to the job so that they may fully understand facilities, difficulties, and restrictions.
Any contractor interested in this project must attend. Parking at this location is limited, please plan to arrive early.

Award of Contract: The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or waive any irregularities in any bids or in the bidding. The DISTRICT will determine which bid will be accepted pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20117. The award of the Contract, if made by the DISTRICT, will be by action of the Governing Board and to the lowest, responsible bidder, therefore among those bidders responsive to the call for bids. No bidder shall withdraw any bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

The successful bidder must possess the appropriate class of Contractor's license required to perform the work identified in the drawings and specifications, and shall maintain a Class A or B (with a qualified C15/C33 Subcontractor) or just a C15/C33 Contractor License for the duration of the project and all applicable warranty periods. The Contractor's California State license number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents.
Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents as defined in the General Conditions, exclusions will not be accepted.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
Each bidder shall submit with his bid, on the form furnished with the Contract Documents, a list of designated subcontractors on this Project as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practice Act, California Public Contract Code Sections 4100 et. Seq.
Bidders shall enter into a contract ten (10) days after receipt of "Notice of Award." The cost of all bonds shall be included in the bid and paid for by the Contractor. Contractors shall be a licensed California contractor and shall comply with the State Labor Code .
The work required in the bidding documents are subject to liquidated damages as outlined in the General Conditions.

All Contractors bidding this project must be registered with D.I.R. Adherence to the State of California Department of Industrial Relations rules and regulations are required. This is a prevailing wage project.
