BOARD OF EQUALIZATION/ ASSESSMENT APPEALS BOARD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Assessment Appeal Application forms on the Local Assessment Roll for Fiscal Year 2026/2027 will be available at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and that the County Assessment Appeals Board will sit as a County Board of Equalization to equalize assessments on the Local Assessment Roll. The Application will also be accessible on the county's webpage at: www.countyofmerced.com under Board of Supervisors, Assessment Appeals Board.
Property owners requesting a change in assessment can file the Assessment Appeal Application with the Clerk of the Assessment Appeals Board, Third Floor, County Administration Building, 2222 "M" Street, Merced, California, beginning July 2, 2026, through November 30, 2026. Please be advised a $30 Processing Fee is required to be paid with each Application filed for consideration of a hearing. The Clerk will notify the Applicant of the hearing date, time and place 45 days prior to the hearing date.
The County Board of Equalization will continue in session from time to time until the business of equalization is complete.
