NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF LIVINGSTON
To All Interested Parties:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Livingston Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider General Plan Amendment (GPA) 2024-01 - City of Livingston Sixth Cycle (2024-2032) Housing Element Update. The Housing Element addresses existing and future housing needs of persons of all economic segment groups and serves as a tool for decision-makers and the public in understanding and meeting housing needs in Livingston. The Planning Commission will consider adopting a resolution relaying its recommendation to the City Council on the proposed GPA 2024-01 - City of Livingston Sixth Cycle (2024-2032) Housing Element Update.
Livingston's proposed Housing Element is incorporated as Appendix E of the Merced County Multi-Jurisdictional Housing Element. A copy the Housing Element can be viewed at: https://www.cityoflivingston.org/commdev/page/city-livingston-housing-element-update.
The proposed General Plan Amendment is exempt from analysis under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under the "Common Sense Exemption" that CEQA applies only to projects that have the potential for causing significant environmental effects, as specified in Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines. This Public Hearing will be held on the following date and time:
Planning Commission Regular Meeting: January 13, 2026,
at 7:00 p.m.
The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers, 663 Main Street, Livingston. Project materials for the above project are available for review at the City of Livingston, 1416 C Street, after January 9, 2026. Any persons interested in the above application are invited to submit comments in writing or orally prior to or at the Public Hearing.
